What Evolution Left Behind On Humans

This is a great collection of body parts that you don’t need, but may still feel attached to.

These three muscles most likely made it possible for prehominids to move their ears independently of their heads (again, like a cat or dog). We still have these muscles which is why most people can learn how to wiggle their ears.

Spinning Silhouette Illusion

At first glance, the silhouette is spinning clockwise. but according to the source website, and the small sample test group I showed it to; you can reverse the spinning.

Here are some hints from the test group.

  • You have to look down at the shadow, keep your eyes there for some seconds and then slowly move your eyes upward.
Sometimes my brain even changes the direction when I look at different parts of the figure. Dont stare at her, keep your eyes moving up and down.
  • when she turns clockwise she has the right foot up.. when counter-clockwise its the left foot.. just tell yourself which foot is up and she will turn in that direction..

Liar liar!

I have heard about ways to read people, and tell if they are lying or not, but this graphic, and the companion site does a really nice job of breaking it down, and explaining it in a way that is easy to remember.

Magic Eraser

I don’t know if you have tried a Magic Eraser yet, but I have, and they really do live up to their name. I have been consistently astounded by what it will remove, and the ease with which it does so. In addition to being astounded, I have been creeped out a bit. There is no detergent with the product, and it dissenegrates as you use it. The whole process is a bit odd.

Wikipedia to the rescue! Wikipedia has a break down of what the Magic Eraser is, and how it works.
