I bought these for the novelty of the design but have come to appreciate that they are pretty good speakers too. I have them connected to a Yamaha mini system in a bedroom. The sound is smooth with slightly rolled off highs. They reproduce voice well and sound good with music at moderate volumes. The overall workmanship and quality of the cabinet isn’t going to impress the audiophiles but I’m nitpicking. Nice product, nice price.
