Glad to make an impression!!! I had a look and, uh, well , I noticed something...

they are positive displacement pump parts

That IS what they are called. I could remember how it worked, but not the name.
I have to give credit where it's due. Merlebs.... good call!!

Damn!
Like nsfarsighted, I've seen these things, and i agree with him, pump parts.
You describe them as drywall rotors, but in fact, the drywall is incidental to these parts, they're mud pumpers, used, in the context, for spraying plaster mixes ONTO drywall.
In my context, I've seen similar things used in pumps for clay slurry in the ceramics industry.
I do enjoy these puzzles, even when, as often, they have me beat!

I have no idea, but, like a few others, I know I have seen these things before. I've seen them in person at some point in my life -- shipyard, submarine, garage, I dunno', but I've seen 'em. I just can't retrieve the data.

This is a rotor used in either a pressurized liquid motor, or a forced air blower rotor. That is a 1-2 configuration rotor ( 1 lobe rotor, 2 lobe stator ). The stator has a hard rubber- like compound inside. This lining has two lobes this chrome shaft rests in. Forcing air or liquid through the assembly forces the rotor to turn to the other lobe in the stator, thus creating motion. This type of setup ( only much larger) is used in what are called Mud Motors in oildfield drilling applications. the stator is fixed to the pipe, and the turing rotor is what essentially turns your drill bit when pressurised mud is applied. The oilfield motor was based on what I believe was some of the first forced air blowers for big rigs.

How close is that??

uhh mebbe its a drill for wood that is specially made to make the hole look pretty?'
or it conveys sand upwards, like a reverse spiral staircase?
but the surves are too soft to make it a pure bred conveyor. is it for food?

Since I was browsing your site as a way to kill time at work, I'm ALL ABOUT work safe =-) Don't want the corporate IT guys calling the local security office "Hello, yeah, that obnoxious guy in office 42, yeah, he's trying to reach midget p0rn sites again. Yup, third warning this month. Give him a box and get his office keys!"

OK, so gonna guess again....
Is it for conveying ice?
Hmmmm slushies?
Man, I know I've seen one before!!! The square end slips on the end of a drive box and you use a pin to hold it in place while it conveys.... what.....

Drilling wax?

I know I'll kick myself...
