What is it?
This week I am going to change it up a bit. Mostly because I didn’t have time to find a subject for this week’s quiz, but also just to change it up.
So here is this week’s challenge: Trivia!

All the state capitols in the USA have a McDonald’s except one. Which one is it?
This discussion was just too entertaining to stop. This week’s winner was JWelch!

It has to be a trick question. There is a McDs in every state capital.
November 30th, 2006 at 5:37 pm
What about the US capital, Washington D.C.?
December 1st, 2006 at 3:10 am
Montpelier, Vermont is the only U.S. state capital without a McDonald’s. (2003) after that possibly a new macdonald opened. but now i dont know if the question is a trick on because state capitals and capitols are diferent things.

Good point Roberto! Capitols are the building and Capital is the city. I didn’t know that. So technically NO state capitol has a MickeyDs. However, the question states “All the state capitols in the USA have a McDonald’s except one”. So beyond the traditional rhetoric of “the invalidity of the fundamental statement causes for the impossablity of an answer to exist”. I’m gonna go with misspelling.
I have heard this question before while in Montpelier and I can say that in 2003 there was no McDonalds. Furthermore, if you do a google map search for mcdonalds you’ll find that the nearest Mcdonalds is actually in Barre VT 4.4 miles away.
I highly recomend an upstate NY/Vermont trip to anyone. It’s wonderful anytime of the year.

Roberto and Jwelch are definitely on target…Montpelier, Vermont, but also because of the homonym confusion.

If Montpelier is correct, I win :)

I don’t mean to nit-pick, but you asked what state CAPITAL was without a McDonalds, not which state. He did not list the capital.

It is nit-picky, but accurate. Send me your info, and I will send you out a sticker
